Selected issues of nature and landscape protection in Czech law (The mining towers in Microregion Frenstatsko's case)

This diploma thesis deals with a historical development of the nature preservation. Then it shifts its focus to various commitments emerging from the international as well as EU laws. At the international level, the work individually describes several international contracts related to the preservation of natural ecosystems. Within the scope of the European law, the thesis focuses on the realization of the nature preservation, using the system called Natura 2000 and its factual implementation into the Czech law. The text also examines the nature preservation and its impacts in the constitution of the Czech Republic. After a brief introduction to the law no. 114/1992 Coll., on the preservation of nature and landscape, the work in detail analyzes individual categories of general and specific territorial preservation. Finally, the thesis examines the case study on the mining towers in the micro-region Frenštátsko in the context of several questions related to the preservation of nature and landscape.

The story of the European beaver on the territory of the Czech Republic

This thesis deals with the controversial species of the animal, the European beaver, which is perceived very differently in the human society. In the history, this especially protected animal was extincted on the territory of the Czech Republic and actually his activites frequently come into conflicts of human interests so the comeback of beavers is not always welcome. The thesis describes the process of changing situation of the population of beavers in the Czech Republic and important aspect of their existence. The practical part of the thesis is pursued on the research, which is focused on the perception of the problematic issues of the european beaver by the experts in the Czech Republic. This research is based on seven expert interviews and also on the survey. The goal of my research was to gain comprehensive informations about the perception of experts and about their recommendations how to moderate the situation and harmonize the human - beaver relationship. The main contribution of this thesis is the cooperation all key goups of experts and primary the most important is that results from the research can be used as a material for the future expert debates. Site of European importance Žofínský forest - Pivonické rocks, opportunities and access to education

The main aim of the diploma thesis is to provide the possibilities how to get the information easily about the European significant locality Žofínký prales ? Pivonické skály. Another aim is the participation of this locality into the education system. The theoretical part of the diploma thesis is focused on the European legislation which is connected with the nature preservation. It describes the selected part of the Novohradské hory and its specifics and the subject of protection. The practical part of this work analyzes the essential visitor´s knowledge of the terms of the European legislation. It offers the short stay in ?ESL with the specific theme? and tries to explain the matters of the nature preservation in an understandable way. It is determined to the specific groups of tourists, students and the others.
